Dear Representative_________________________

The 2000 Census count indicated the U.S. population hit 281 million back in April 2000.
They now estimate we are over 297 million at the close of 2005. I don't know when you last put your ear to the ground in my community, but we are not too happy with the results of all this growth because a lot of that growth is hitting Florida.

We are over 17 million now with 1,000 people a day net coming in. According to the U.S. Cenus Bureau, Florida grew by 4.7% from 2003 to 2004. That would indicate a doubling time of around fifteen years! Forget affordable housing or decent transportation, education or saving rural and recreation areas. There is no end in sight if we do not develop a rational U.S. population policy, which cannot be done unless we get immigration under control. And that should be your priority in the coming 2006 session of Congress

I would appreciate your letting me know how you see the future for America and for Florida if we keep on growing this way. Growth just for the sake of growth makes no sense. Failure to enforce our laws against illegal immigration is a violation of your oath to protect and defend the U.S. against invasion so why not use the National Guard on rotating duty from around the country?

I would appreciate your being specific in your reply.

Sincerely,
